Creating a web site for the Maritime Region

As a growing health charity, the Parkinson Society Canada Maritime Region wanted an online presence to create awareness about this neurological movement disorder, in addition to providing information about the society and the work that they do on behalf of Maritimer’s living with Parkinson’s. The website gives clients, healthcare professionals, and friends of the society an opportunity to learn more about Parkinson’s and the support that is available.

The criteria for the web site were that it have its own unique identity but still reflect the National office, for it to be very user friendly for older adults and those living with a neurological disorder, and lastly that the site reflect a message of hope with its imagery and design. The web site was also designed so that staff members could easily update it without having any computer or coding experience.
